The Head of the Charles Regatta - Cambridge, MA!

What a GORGEOUS fall day in New England! Temperature was close to 80 degrees! Richard and I decided to venture into Cambridge, MA for the annual Head of the Charles Regatta REGATTA WEBSITE to enjoy the sights, sounds and great weather!

We took the Red Line in From Alewife Station in Arlington to Harvard Square and walked down down to the festivities. We walked along the river and checked out all the vendor booths (of course I had to stop at the Victoria's Secret "Pink" booth to get a cute pink tank top -- along with that purchase I got a VS Pink dog tag, a $10 gift card and a cool backpack type bag to carry my stuff in!). We enjoyed seeing all of the rowers cruise up and down the Charles (man, they are in GREAT shape! That is tough work!). We walked all the way down to MicroCenter (Richard's favorite store), grabbed a coffee at Starbucks and headed back down the other side of the river. The crowds were unbelievable. The news had said they were expecting about 300,000 people.....I'm sure they made that number happen. Here are some more pictures.....

After working up an appetite, we took the T back to our car and headed over to Allston to have a snack at the Sunset Grill & Tap SUNSET GRILL WEBSITE. They have 112 beers on tap! Very cool place. I had the "Fruit Loop" Flight of beers, that included a Ipswich Blueberry, Lindeman's Framboise (Raspberry), Magic Hat #9 & Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. Had the nachos with pulled pork and one of their fall specials -- Pumpkin Soup.
