Merry Christmas from OUR "Happy Feet"!

Try to kick back and relax this holiday season and, remember, SPRING IS ONLY 15 WEEKS AWAY!!! This is the shot used on our Christmas card (of my toes on the railing of the Island Inn porch overlooking the harbor as we were sipping some cool brewskies). It was taken this summer when we visited Monhegan Island, Maine for a weekend. Glad some of you are getting a hoot out of the shot....others, well......you're not quite sure why my feet are on a Christmas card! Do you like the toe ring? I went totally bohemian for that weekend! : ) Anyway.....It was a whimsical, fun thing and actually started with Richard taking pictures of his feet in different locations we would visit this past year. It just makes us chuckle and hope you'll get a chuckle, too! : ) After all, holidays are supposed to be full of "fun", right????

When we went to Monhegan Island, we stayed at the Island Inn http://www.islandinnmonhegan.com. Here's a picture from their website......And, YES, we did hang out in one of those Adirondack chairs and the old style rockers on their beautiful long porch overlooking the harbor. What a GREAT way to relax the weekend away! Just grab a book, grab a chair and let the sea air and sun take you far away from the computer, the phone and the stress! We would highly recommend that you add this place to your "must do" list! Monhegan Island is located 10 miles off the Maine coast and can be accessed from Boothbay Harbor via ferry (it takes about 1.5 hours to get out there).

Sometimes, life and its stresses weighs us down -- but, try not to let it and try to look for the happier and fun things in life or the things or people who you cherish the most. My motto is try to look for the silver lining in things....a positive attitute is so contageous! Life is too short and we are all reminded of that all too often. ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAYS!!! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and may 2007 bring us all good things! Ciao!
