If you've never been on a helicopter ride you have to go....Richard and I went up in a helicopter while it was at the Pease Airforce Base for the Air Show and got a chance to take some pictures in the Portsmouth Area.
We flew over downtown Portsmouth, over by the Wentworth by the Sea, over the lighthouses in Portsmouth Harbor and back. We've gone up in a Bi-Plane before, but this was much quicker heading around different areas of the Seacoast, less noisy and a lot more flexible as far as getting closer to things. Before we took flight, Randy's wife took Richard's door off so he could get better pictures (and easier for me to throw him out if he was being a crabby pants...hmmm...oh yeah, the insurance doesn't cover that! LOL) (no worries, though, he had his seatbelt on!). I was sitting in the backseat (with my door on, although after we landed they said they could have taken my door off, too....hmmm, that's OK... LOL).
It was a little overcast, but at least the wind had died down from yesterday. Our pilot, Randy, of Ace Helicopter LLC
http://www.acehelitours.com/ was so nice and really loves what he does. He is based out of Hampstead, NH. We had a BLAST!!! We would definitely do it again...maybe on a sunnier day so we could see more blue sky and blue ocean. Well, we're now off to walk the dog and then get ready for our engagement shoot later this afternoon with Bethany & Jasper, who are getting married next month. Stay tuned for more adventures with the McGarry's! : ) Oh, and Richard has decided he wants to have his own fleet (it's good to have dreams and Photoshop!) LOL
