Well, we've been waiting all season and we finally got a GREAT day to go to Scituate to visit our friends Adria & Chris and go out on their new boat, Irish Mist. Richard was in need of a "boat fix" (can you tell how happy he is by the big smile on his face?!).

Since Adria is a fairly new captain, Richard was in his glory showing her all sorts of thing (like learning how to parallel park the boat at the dock and pulling up a mooring). At one point during the day, Chris was joking with Richard and called him a moron (obviously, he did something silly) and from then on, we were all calling him "Captain Moron" (instead of Captain Morgan!). It was funny, believe me...

It was a tad bit windy, but we had a great time regardless. We headed up the North River and grabbed a mooring to have lunch and then headed back down the river towards where the sandbars are. It was fairly high tide so not all the sandbars were visible.

However, there was a group and their 3 dogs who found their own sandbar, still somewhat submerged! What a hoot! I have a picture to prove it! As we started heading toward more open water, the wind was really gusting. We tried to anchor off of the sandbar, but between the current and the wind, Irish Mist was having no part of standing her ground. So, we pulled up anchor and headed back to the dock. Headed back to their house, had a beverage or two and then we headed out to dinner at the Mill Wharf Restaurant.

We hated to see the day end. Thanks again for the invite, Adria & Chris! We will definitely be back sometime soon!
