Cats, Cats, Cats -- Stratham SPCA Needs Your Help! Adoption Specials!

LIONS...TIGERS....AND CATS OH MY!!!

The other evening, we had our friends Stephanie & Harry http://www.harrylichtman.com/-/HarryLichtman/default.asp over for dinner. Steph works part time at the SPCA in Stratham http://www.nhspca.org/ and was telling us about their upcoming auction on October 20th at the Wentworth by the Sea in Newcastle, NH (go to calendar of events on their website). We decided since we had two animal pictures that we had in our inventory that we would donate them to their auction. So, on Tuesday, Richard went to the SPCA and met Steph and dropped off our pictures. The employees there really loved them, so hopefully, they will be able to help them raise some money.

When Steph was over the other night, she told me about a Ragdoll (cat) that was there in need of adoption. When Richard went over Tuesday, he saw the Ragdoll was still there. He knows I'm in search of a photo op for the Topsfield Fair (he already has his picture selected and printed and ready to go -- see the blog entry for Matthew's First Day at the Beach). So, when I got home from work, we headed over to the SPCA with camera in hand and was in search of the Ragdoll. We entered one of the many rooms filled with cats....there are soooo many cats, most of them adult cats, in need of adoption....I so wish we could adopt another, but we have our hands full with our 2 cats and our dog.....most of them were sleeping when we got in there, including the Ragdoll....so, we stirred them awake and got some shots.
While I was taking pictures of the Ragdoll, there was another kitty taking a liking to Richard....she was so cute (and was a little mad when we were leaving without her!)....it just breaks my heart.

So, I need your help in choosing which picture of the Ragdoll I should enter (the black and white kitty was cute, but the background isn't good unfortunately). Let me know your thoughts. You can either post a response to the blog or send me email at chris@reflectionsbymcgarry.com

Oh, and if you know of anyone looking to adopt one or more cats, please have them check out the Stratham SPCA or an SPCA near them. The shelters are inundated with cats at this time of year....and they all deserve loving homes!
